Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions Mittelstand companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland ask us most often, before and during a project.
Questions about KnowledgeWerk and working together
What exactly does KnowledgeWerk do?
KnowledgeWerk is a tool-independent AI consultancy for the Mittelstand: we combine knowledge management, AI readiness and change management into a single offering. Instead of introducing isolated tools, we build the knowledge architecture that AI systems can reliably work with.
Does KnowledgeWerk work with companies in Austria and Switzerland too?
Yes. KnowledgeWerk advises mid-sized companies across the whole DACH region – Germany, Austria and Switzerland – both remotely and on-site.
Do we need an AI strategy already before talking to KnowledgeWerk?
No – quite the opposite. Most engagements start exactly where no AI strategy exists yet. The 360° Readiness Check provides the objective status-quo analysis that a strategy can then be built on.
What does working with KnowledgeWerk actually look like?
A free, no-obligation initial conversation is typically followed by the 360° Readiness Check as a structured assessment. That produces a prioritized roadmap, which KnowledgeWerk can then support you in implementing – you decide after every step whether and how to continue.
Does KnowledgeWerk consult remotely, on-site, or both?
Both. Analysis workshops and interviews take place remotely via video call or directly on-site as needed; many engagements combine both formats.
How does KnowledgeWerk handle our internal company data?
Confidentially and strictly for the purpose of the engagement. A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) can be signed in advance on request; details on the handling of personal data are in our Privacy Policy.
For questions specific to the 360° Readiness Check, see the dedicated FAQ on the AI Readiness Check page.
